Getting Started

The first step is an Assessment

slide-1The assessment will determine if the Correction Programs are a suitable solution for the client’s learning or social difficulties and goals.  The typical initial consultation will take about 1 hours and includes a symptoms profile, short reading assessment, and a perceptual ability assessment.

The Program

The Correction Programs are a 30-hour, one week program which is facilitated one-on-one.  Each program is customized to address the client’s specific goals and areas for improvement.

Because it is a creative program and is designed for the learning style of the visual-spatial person, clients work with their natural strengths and talents to overcome their learning obstacles.

While many other programs address only the symptoms of the learning disability, On Point Learning gets to the root cause of the learning difficulty.

Clients will leave with the ability to implement the knowledge obtained during the program into daily life.

Programs include:
• Five consecutive days of one-to-one facilitation (ages 8 and up).  Up to 8 days may be necessary for the Math program.
• Support training for client’s family, tutor(s) or teacher(s)
• All necessary take-home materials for program follow-up.
• Unlimited phone/email consultations.

Program Prerequisites
For the Correction Programs to be effective, a person must be personally motivated and willing to improve some aspect of learning or social skills.
The Correction Programs encourage a DRUG FREE solution.  We encourage this as a solution for our individuals struggling with focus and/or energy levels.

If you have any questions about this as an option for you, please call 541-647-0841 or email: j_onpoint@yahoo.com .

After the Program

The program provides the client with all of the tools, understanding, and materials necessary to implement the strategies into their every day lives and achieve positive results.

Support Training is provided for family members, tutor(s) and/or teacher(s) on the afternoon of the last day to ensure post-program follow-up and success.

Follow-up work for the Correction Program can take anywhere from 3 months to 1.5 years depending upon the client’s goals, motivation, and schedule, and includes:
• Orientation Exercises
• 10-15 minutes of “Three Steps to Easier Reading” Exercises (Daily)
• Koosh Ball exercises
• Mastery of 219 trigger words
Follow-up for the Math Mastery and the Attention Mastery Programs do not require mastery of the 219 trigger words or the Reading Exercises.  Other follow-up may be recommended as
necessary.  Each client will receive all materials necessary for the follow-up work to be completed.
